Steps to get an Australia Visa?

  1. Visit Australia Visa Application Center (AVAC) - Visit the AVAC offices in Jakarta and Bali. If you do not reside in these two cities, you can also apply online.
  2. Make Payment for Australia Visa - Besides bringing or uploading the required visa documents, the next step is to make a payment. For those of you applying for an Australian tourist visa, a payment of 105 Australian dollars will be required, or around Rp1,000,000. For the type of business visitor visa, the fee required is around 150 dollars, or Rp1,500,000. If your visa application is approved, you can go directly to the AVAC office to complete additional documents.

Requirements

  • A visa application form from the official website of the Australian Embassy in Indonesia (indonesia.embassy.gov.au). Fill in the form with the requested information and match the applicant's data.
  • Copy of Identity Card (KTP) and Family Card (KK) 2 (two) 4×6 photographs with a white background
  • Photocopy of passport that has a validity period of at least 6 months (the parts that must be photocopied are the front page, back page, stamp page, and visa)
  • Copy of savings account for the last 3 months
  • Credit card statements and salary slips for the last 3 months
  • Additional documents, such as: travel itinerary while in Australia, letter of willingness to return to Indonesia, proof of hotel booking transactions, and recommendation letters made by family, friends, or coworkers who approve your departure to Australia.

    How long does the visa process take?
    It normally takes a minimum of 15 calendar days to process an Australian visa application, counting from the time the documents are complete.
