Who is it for and what are the benefits?

China is one of the countries in the Asian region that is visited by many tourists. There are many tourist destinations that you can visit in this country including the great wall of China, yang shui river, forbidden city and other attractions. If you are interested in visiting China for vacation or business or for other purposes such as study, you can check how to get a China visa and apply for it.

China is one of the popular tourist destinations in Asia considering this country has a great wall which is one of the wonders of the world and other interesting tourist attractions. For tourist visas themselves, China has actually exempted visas for several countries that have strong economies including the European Union or Schengen countries, the United States, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, South Korea and Japan.

Types of China Visas

There are 11 different visa types that we can help you with:

Tourist (L1), (S1), (S2), (Q1), (Q2)

- The L visa is for vacation, recreation, sightseeing, visiting friends and family - for under 60 days.

- The S1 visa is a long-term visa for applicants visiting family members who have a valid residence permit in China due to work or study. This visa allows for a duration of stay of more than 180 days.

- S2 visa is a short-term visa for applicants who are visiting family members who have a valid residence permit in China for work or study. This visa allows for a duration of stay of less than 180 days.

- Q1 visa is a long-term visa for applicants visiting family members who are Chinese Nationals. This visa allows for a duration of stay of more than 180 days.

- The Q2 visa is a short-term visa for applicants visiting family members who are Chinese Nationals. The visa allows for a duration of stay of less than 180 days.

Business (L)

- This visa is generally issued as a 10-year multiple entry visa to US Citizens that allows the applicant to visit China for up to 60 or 90 days to attend business meetings with Chinese Companies.

- Citizens of other countries will be issued a single-entry visa (3-month visa, maximum duration of stay 30 days) or a multiple-entry visa (6-month, maximum duration of stay 60 days).

Non Business (P)

- F visas are issued to applications visiting schools/universities, attending conferences/seminars/lectures or trade shows. Work permit or foreignerVisa is issued as a 3-month single-entry visa for a maximum duration of stay of 30 days.

Employment (Z)

- Work visas are issued to applicants employed by Chinese companies or schools. A Foreign Expert Work Permit or Foreigner Work Permit is mandatory to apply for this visa. The single-entry visa is issued for 3 months with a maximum duration of stay for 90 days. Once you arrive in China, you must apply for a residence permit.

Student (X1) and (X2)

- The X1 student visa is a long-term visa issued to students who plan to stay longer than 180 days. The visa itself will be issued as a 3-month single-entry visa for a maximum duration of stay of 90 days. Once you arrive in China, you will need to apply for a residence permit.

- The X2 student visa is a short-term visa issued to students staying less than 180 days. This visa is issued as a multiple entry visa, a residence permit is not required.

Requirements 

  • Original passport. It is valid for at least 6 months and has at least 2 blank pages.
  • Photocopy of the front page of the passport.
  • Visa application form.
  • Itinerary or travel plan accompanied by proof of round-trip airplane tickets and proof.

    General Questions

    How long does it take to process a visa?
    It normally takes a minimum of 3 calendar days to process your China visa application.
    No, it does not. China visa holders are still subject to immigration checks and the visa does not guarantee you entry into China.
    Yes. But if you want to keep your original documents, the legalized documents must be given to the Embassy. Please check your checklist to know what original documents you need to submit. However, you must submit your original passport at the time of application
