Investor Visa (KITAS)

Investor Visa (KITAS)

Who is it for and what are the benefits?

KITAS Investor Indonesia offers great benefits, with the most attractive ones including ease of application and waiver of work permit fees. Whereas foreign investors are required to pay a hefty fee of USD 1,200 per year, this is not the case with ITAS Investors, provided they fulfill all investment requirements. Moreover, foreign investors do not have to wait months to start working after making the initial investment.

As such, ITAS Investor is now an attractive option for many investors interested in investing in the country. Read on to find out more about ITAS Investor Indonesia.

TYPES OF ITAS INVESTORS

In Indonesia, ITAS investors can be categorized into two:

- C 313 Index: 1 year

- Index C 314: 2 years

Both types allow investors to enter and exit Indonesia multiple times within the specified validity period of the permit, which is usually based on the validity period of your passport.

As an investor, you are required to have a share value of at least IDR 1 billion and be the head of the company (director/commissioner) or a share value of at least IDR 1,125,000,000 for shareholders without a position called pure investors to qualify as an ITAS investor.
Newly established companies will be able to sponsor investors after receiving a Business Identification Number (NIB) and other permits from the OSS.

As mentioned earlier, one of the biggest advantages of an investor visa is the ease of application without tedious procedures and expensive fees for work permits.
In short, the new process of obtaining an investor KITAS is as follows:

- Prepare the required documents which include a signed application letter and company registration documents

- Apply for a VITAS issued by the Directorate General in Indonesia, which is then sent to the Indonesian embassy abroad

- Once you get the visa, you can enter Indonesia immediately, as the electronic visa is valid at the time of issuance and the visa must be used within 90 days from the date of issuance.

- After entering Indonesia, you are required to report to the local immigration within 30 days from the date of arrival for the issuance of a limited stay permit (do not be late or you will be charged a penalty of IDR 1 million per day).
