Who is it for and what are the benefits?
Research KITAS is for one purpose only, which is for foreigners conducting research throughout Indonesia.
The visa must have a sponsor, which may be through an eligible University or the relevant ministry. As this is a research visa, it is not applicable for earning income in a working capacity.
Steps to obtain your Retirement KITAP
- E-Vitas C315 application. This visa is used to enter Indonesia
- Upon arrival in Indonesia, the foreigner is required to submit the original passport to our office
- Attend Biometrics and fingerprinting session
- Conversion of e-vitas to KITAS at the local immigration office
- Completion of KITAS with E-KITAS along with multiple entry re-entry permit
Requirements
- Expatriate passport with a minimum of 4 blank pages still available with a minimum validity of 18 months and scanned copies of the identity page and cover
- Digital photograph of expatriate (red background, .jpeg format)
- Details of the expatriate's address in Indonesia
- Letter of recommendation from the ministry of Research and Higher Education
- Current account with minimum balance of USD 2,000 or equivalent in IDR 25,000,000
- Latest visa stamp (for Onshore visa application)
- Health or travel insurance and or Statement letter for medical declaration (draft provided)
