Visa Extension on Arrival (VoA)

Who is it for and what are the benefits?

If you enter Indonesia using Visa on Arrival and plan to spend more than 30 days in the country, then you need a Visa on Arrival Extension.

In short, Visa on Arrival allows foreigners to enter Indonesia without a pre-organized visa, such as a Single Entry Visa. Upon entry to Indonesia, you pay US$35/IDR 500,000 and you are given 30 days in the country. If you wish to extend your stay, you will need to process an extension, which grants an additional 30 days of stay.

To process the extension, you can either do it yourself or work with Indobizcorner who can make the process easier. If you choose to process your extension yourself, here are the steps:

  1. Visit your local immigration office and submit your passport.
  2. Return to the immigration office after they have processed the extension for a quick biometric session.
  3. Return to the immigration office again for passport collection.

The process can take up to 14 days and is very time-consuming considering the 3 trips to immigration, office navigation and queues.

4 Steps to extend your Visa on Arrival (VoA)

  1. Provide original passport and arrival ticket.
  2. Your passport will be sent to the immigration office who will authorize the 30-day extension.
  3. Once the extension is granted, the applicant must go to the office imigrasi untuk sesi biometrik.
    4. Paspor akan dikembalikan kepada pemohon dalam waktu 3 hari kerja.
