Immigration Prepares Special Measures to Anticipate Foreign Nationals’ Violations in Bali
Denpasar, KORANTRANSAKSI.com – The Bali Immigration Office is preparing special measures to address the increasing number of violations committed by foreign nationals in the region.
Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Felucia Sengky Ratna, stated, “What are the measures? I won’t disclose them yet. Wait until April 10. What’s clear is that the program has already been prepared.”
Sengky further explained that her office will intensify supervision across all immigration offices independently, including extending monitoring durations. “Previously, we only relied on personnel assigned to the supervision division. However, considering recent developments in Bali, we are now mobilizing all personnel in each immigration office, not just those in supervision,” she said.
All personnel are being deployed to gather data and field information, including conducting early detection of potential risks that could impact security in Bali. Sengky emphasized that she would not hesitate to impose sanctions on any personnel found violating regulations. “I will take firm action with zero tolerance for any staff engaging in misconduct. There have already been too many violations in Bali,” she added.
She also urged the public to report any information related to violations. Prior to Eid, immigration offices had opened hotline services at each office, which remain accessible to the public.
These hotlines are intended for reporting various violations, including suspected misconduct by foreign nationals. Previously, Bali Immigration apprehended a British national, SL (45), who was identified as an Interpol Red Notice subject during inspection.
He arrived in Bali from Singapore and was arrested on Saturday (March 28, 2026) at approximately 12:45 PM WITA. SL is suspected of being the leader of an international criminal organization and is believed to be the mastermind behind operations involving fictitious companies and money laundering activities.
Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bugie Kurniawan, issued a warning to transnational crime syndicates. “We emphasize that Bali will never become a safe haven for international fugitives,” he stated. (TIM)
