Minister of Immigration and Corrections Inaugurates Inmate Product Gallery at Bogor Immigration Office
Bogor, KORANTRANSAKSI.com – Products created by inmates of Class IIA Cibinong Correctional Facility (Lapas) were showcased at the Inmate Product Gallery located at the Bogor Immigration Office during the Ramadan Safari 1447 event organized by the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections on Wednesday (March 4, 2026).
The gallery was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Agus Andrianto, as a symbol of appreciation for the creativity and hard work of inmates in producing quality products. It also aims to encourage them to continue creating and to demonstrate that their work holds both economic and aesthetic value worthy of public recognition.
In his remarks, Agus emphasized the importance of public support for products made through correctional development programs. “We should be proud of the products made by inmates—their quality is no less impressive than other products. I hope the public can directly see the results of the coaching and development process inside correctional facilities. This is proof that the program is working and producing tangible outcomes,” said Agus.
Various products made by inmates of Class IIA Cibinong Correctional Facility were displayed in the gallery, including guitars, paintings, Prabudana donuts, and a variety of other food items produced directly by the inmates.
Head of Class IIA Cibinong Correctional Facility, Wisnu Hani Putranto, expressed his pride in the opportunity to present the inmates’ work before the Minister and the broader public. “The inauguration of this gallery serves as a great motivation for our inmates. These products are the result of a consistent development process. We hope that public support will continue so their work becomes more widely recognized and gains sustainable economic value,” he stated. (TIM)
